On Sunday 19 February, the Gauteng Civic Association (GACA) convened a highly successful meeting of community organisations representing South African communities and foreign-residents.

Agreement was reached to form a coalition of communities against crime, poverty and xenophobia.

A press conference has been called to put forward the views of the coalition and to announce plans for a counter-march to the xenophobic march called by the Mamelodi Concerned Residents for Friday 24 February.
